Oregon Pet Project
The Full Story
Oregon Pet Project, also known as ARK Pet Rescue, was first started in 2020 when a college student named Daria had big dreams and an uncertain future.
Daria's journey into the world of animal rescue began in 2019 when she found herself working at a local pet store. Although she loved being surrounded by animals, she couldn't help but notice the growing number of homeless and neglected animals in her community. Driven by her compassion and a deep desire to make a difference, Daria decided to take matters into her own hands. With unwavering determination, she transformed her humble garage into a sanctuary for animals in need, primarily focusing on guinea pigs and the occasional kitten.

Through sheer determination and the grace of God, Daria's dream materialized in the summer of 2021 when she signed a lease for a small space in Newberg, Oregon and opened the doors to ARK Pet Rescue. What started as a small operation soon grew into a thriving haven for countless animals. Daria poured her heart and soul into the rescue, working tirelessly to provide shelter, medical care, and love to the abandoned and mistreated animals that came her way. Her passion and dedication were contagious, inspiring a team of volunteers to join her cause.

In just two short years, Daria and her team at ARK Pet Rescue have made an astonishing impact on their community. With their combined efforts, they have successfully saved over 1,200 animals, giving each one a second chance at a loving and fulfilling life. Daria's story serves as a shining example of what one person's compassion and determination can achieve. Through her unwavering commitment, she has not only transformed the lives of countless animals but also inspired others to join her mission of rescuing and rehabilitating those who have been forgotten.
